I started sewing almost a year ago and really got into the concept of using old, gently used materials again to create small clutches and makeup bags.
Another member of my shop uses old tin from his family farm to create custom patriotic flags, and I also do some painting on old barn wood to make inspirational signs.
I love the idea that old things can once again be beautiful and I find it easy for me to see something that might look like trash to someone else and re-invent it into something inspiring."
